About Us

Jeff MooreJeff Moore – Architect Jeff is a licensed architect in the state of New Hampshire, and had many years of experience in the field. Growing up in the historical town of Lexington, Massachusetts he was surrounded by various architectural influences. He attended New Hampshire Technical Institute and started his career with a firm in New Hampshire, spending over 30 years specializing in schools and municipal projects. Jeff resides in Salem, NH in a Post & Beam home that he designed with his wife, Kathi. Together, they have raised 2 children, Lindsey & Garrett and they enjoy golfing and skiing in the mountains.

Chloe Web 2Chloë Rideout–Interior Designer Chloë runs the Interior Design department at Cummings Architects and helps with interior fixture selections, custom designs, and site observation. She has designed the interiors for projects ranging from historic homes to more modern designs. Raised in Gloucester, she returned to her native Canada and received a B.Sc in Architecture at McGill University in the vibrant city of Montréal. Chloë joined Cummings Architects in 2014 and has enjoyed being exposed to all aspects of the business of architecture. She is happiest when exploring a new place with camera in hand, and can often be found painting miniature canvases of her travels.



Vijay Web 2Vijay Joyce–Job Captain  Vijay has immersed himself into the world of historic preservation both in and out of the Cummings Architects’ office and is a confirmed preservation devotee. He focused his Bachelors of Design Studies degree from the Boston Architectural College on both Historic Preservation and Architectural History, Theory and Criticism. Working on and living among some of the oldest structures in the country has strengthened his knowledge of how individual creativity shapes our built environment. This influences his designs to combine unique historic personalities with the necessities of contemporary living.  When not in the office, he enjoys exploring the many breweries, hiking trails, ocean coves, and forgotten buildings of New England.



Joe MarceauJoe Marceau – Job Captain As a job captain, Joe works intimately with each of the clients’ designs starting with the initial site design through to the interior fruition. He fell in love with architecture at a young age and headed to Norwich University, where he earned both a B.S. and Master’s Degree in Architecture. A fan of many different styles of architecture from the first period homes to the more modern, Joe is working towards his goal of becoming a licensed architect. In his free time he enjoys hunting, skiing, and riding motorcycles.


Heather Sawyer - DraftsmanHeather Sawyer-Designer Heather works closely on all facets of the design process with Mathew and the rest of the team. She graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, having earned both her B.Sc in Architecture and M.Arch there. Her interest in preserving existing historic and culturally significant buildings and features is particularly well-suited to her work at Cummings Architects. She has a passion for baking, traveling, and experiencing all that is out there in this world.




Susan Fairbank-Pitzer- Office Manager Susan keeps things running smoothly at Cummings Architects and does everything from managing our schedule and the company finances to our marketing. Susan earned a Bachelor’s in Interior Design at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and has worked in many areas of architecture and design over the years.  A long-time Danvers resident, she volunteers with various Lyme disease organizations in her spare time.
